Coral Gables Just Turned a Sidewalk Into a Flower Field in the Sky
Starting August 14, Coral Gables is unveiling “Giralda in Bloom,” the second chapter of its 2026 Giralda Sky Series, and it might be the prettiest thing to happen to that stretch of pavement since the original Umbrella Sky took over in 2018. Hundreds of floral patterned umbrellas will hang overhead, turning the plaza into a canopy of color that gives you shade and a serious photo op at the same time. The installation comes from Impact Plan, the same team behind the original Umbrella Sky in Portugal and the 2018 Gables version that everyone still talks about.
